James HARWOOD b. 1833, Bulby, Lincolnshire, England son of James HARWOOD and Caroline BLAND had arrived in Victoria, Australia in 1855 when he was employed at "Satimer" Station, Wando Vale, S-W Victoria, Australia.

Mary Anne CAMPBELL b. c.1839, Inverness-shire, Scotland daughter of Alexander CAMPBELL and Mary McGREGOR arrived in Victoria, Australia before 1862 when she was probably employed at "Satimer" Station, Wando Vale, S-W Victoria, Australia.

James HARWOOD and Mary Anne CAMPBELL were married in 1862 at "Satimer" Station, Wando Vale, S-W Victoria, Australia. They had five children before Mary Anne died at Sandford, S-W Victoria in 1873.

James HARWOOD was widowed with five children under 10 when his wife Mary Anne CAMPBELL died at Sandford, S-W Victoria in 1873. He was married again in 1875, this time to Harriet Elizabeth PRETLOVE, b. 1855 at "Retreat" Station, Casterton, S-W Vic., eldest daughter of Henry PRETLOVE 1828-1912 and Frances Letitia "Fanny" WEBB 1837-1919.

James HARWOOD and Harriet Elizabeth PRETLOVE had seven children before James died at Sandford in 1922 and Harriet also died at Sandford in 1929. They are both buried in the Sandford Cemetery.
