Frederick FORD b. 1825, Co Cork, Ireland, son of Benjamin FORD and Mary LEAHY was married in 1855 in Victoria to Kate Mary McKENZIE, b. 1834 Isle of Skye, Inverness, Scotland, dau of Kenneth McKENZIE and Ann ROBERTSON.

Frederick FORD was the first postmaster in Merino and also operated a store in the main street.

Frederick FORD was a recorded as a member of the Digby Ancient Order of Foresters in 1862-1863.

Frederick FORD died in 1912 and his wife Kate in 1899 and they are buried in the Merino Cemetery.
